The class of 1950 was the biggest graduating class ever at Tucson High. The class was so big that THS operated on triple shift with classes starting very early in the morning and running until after 6:00 at night. (Catalina High School opened the next year.) In fact, the THS Class of 1950 was bigger than the U of A's Class of 1950! There were 329 boys and 345 girls for a total of 674 graduates on May 30th, 1950. There were 75 more who graduated in January or August, or who would have graduated in 1950.
